Adam stays close to the work.
Adam directs Koala Deck Designs and stays closely involved in the practical work: reading site conditions, setting out levels and alignments, planning structure and drainage, selecting and using timber carefully, coordinating construction and resolving the inevitable surprises that appear when a design meets an existing building.
For the client, that means the person responsible for the company's standards is also close to the decisions that shape the finished project. A line on a drawing must work underfoot; a beautiful board must be correctly supported, fixed and allowed to move; and an outdoor space must remain practical to inspect, maintain and repair.
This hands-on approach is central to Koala Decks. The aim is not simply to make timber look good on the day it is installed, but to create a considered structure suited to Rio's sun, rain, salt air and daily life—and to leave behind work that can be cared for intelligently over time.
