Timber, stainless-steel fixings and finishes are matched to exposure and use. For new timber, the selection conversation includes the scientific identity and a request for the applicable records supporting legal origin.

Hardwood is a valuable natural material. Layout, drainage, ventilation and access for future maintenance are considered so each board can remain useful for longer.

Where new timber is specified, we discuss its scientific identity, suitability for the exposure and which origin records apply. Appropriate stainless-steel or bi-chromated screws keep boards secure while allowing boards to be removed for planned repair or renewal.

Strong structure. The supporting structure is built with massaranduba, a hardwood selected for its strength and durability.
Selected hardwoods. True ipê—described in our portfolio by the product name Ipe Tobacco—and massaranduba are matched to each application; during selection, we ask for the scientific species name and the applicable origin records.
